IMPORTANT SOCIAL EXPERIMENT: Do You Support Peter Obi's Call For The Release Of Nnamdi Kanu?

Nigeria is a democracy. In a true democracy, the will of the masses should prevail over the will of their political representatives (including presidents, governors, senators, etc).

The reason is simple: The political representatives in any democracy are only running errands for the masses who are the real leaders (African nominal democracies and their citizens especially need to come to terms with this undeniable fact). Anything less than the scenario painted here is an aberration of democracy.

Now, we are conducting an experiment to determine publicly the extent of support that Obi's call for the release of the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu enjoys among Nigerians on the Web. This call is significant since Obi comes from the same geopolitical zone with Kanu, criticizes the country's leadership as Kanu does BUT shows undiluted support for one Nigeria unlike Kanu.

This video of the Obi call with live public comments on the same already indicates that an overwhelming majority of Nigeria's WWW community support the call...

However, we want to gather more comments from other platforms than YouTube.

So?

DO MOST NIGERIANS SUPPORT OBI'S CALL FOR KANU'S RELEASE? Below Is How We Can Find Out Together And Get An Accurate Result That Complies With Public Transparency Etiquette

  1. Cast your vote as an INDIVIDUAL stakeholder in the Nigerian Project. How can you cast your vote? Simple: Comment below whether you support the call or not, and WHY.
  2. To ensure that we get a balanced view from across social media platforms, SHARE this on any social media platform where you hang out. Everyone who visits from any other platform should comment accordingly below so that results can be viewable on a single page.

What Are We Doing With The Eventual Result?

The result of this experience will make it totally clear where the majority of informed Nigerians stand on the issue which is widely deemed to have huge implications for the security of not only the Southeast but also the rest of the country. If the majority of Nigerians support the call, we will use it to push for the government to respect the will of its masters.

In this case, it would be on public record that the people made a statement. If the Government fails to comply, then, it will clearly be indicted if a fellow like Obi ever joins the Biafra struggle.

However, if most Nigerians across other social media spheres prove the YouTube audience wrong on this issue, we will use it to speak to Obi to show his full allegiance to the real masters he aspires to serve as a President by withdrawing the call. Otherwise, it would have been clear where his true allegiance is.

Thanks in advance for participating in this important exercise. You can also comment on the approach we have adopted for this social experiment - for example, is the approach not fair enough? You will need to give an explanation in this regard.

This Is The Tap Root Of Nigeria's Problems

As we know, the Nigerian problems have often been described as hydra-headed, multifaceted and complex. But I believe we can more easily find solutions to them if we can identify the root of all of them. I daresay that the root of all our problems is in our mindset, especially in our general lack of emotional intelligence (EI). I keep seeing this mindset poverty among the Nigerian masses affecting everything else about the country so adversely! From governance to poor electricity supply to high insecurity levels to lack of innovativeness among us and more and more and more. For us to begin to understand this, let's first understand what emotional intelligence is in simple terms... What Is Emotional Intelligence? Here's how Google Dictionary defines it... To simplify that definition further, emotional intelligence is the ability to know that you have feelings, that other people also have feelings and therefore to control your feelings and respect other people's feelings. DISCOVERED: The Unacknowledged Root Cause Of Over 90% Of Traffic Accidents In Nigeria

Image credit: Leadership.ng After a bizarre accident in Kano yesterday where a truck loaded with up to 90 persons alongside livestock, motorcycles, and bags of corn plunged over the railings of the Dangwaro Flyover, killing over 20 people, a group known as Professional Driving and Safety Academy (PDSA) issued a statement that 80% of road accidents in the country are due to " human factors ". That's right. But, the situation is too serious to be explained away with such ambiguous word use. Instead, Nigerians on the street need to understand these " human factors " at personal levels. The very unfortunate accident and the PDSA statement prompted me to dig up a recent experiment we conducted that corroborates this viewpoint - except that our figures are higher by 10: We conducted a simple social experiment that seems to suggest that up to 9 in 10 persons may lose attention while on the road and it appears to be the topmost remote cause behind traffic a

A REPORT: Nigerian Month-old Babies Are Dying Of Hunger! - Why And How To Identify And Help Them

Earlier today, we published a poignant story of a 4-month-old Nigerian baby who can hardly feed with his mother and 3 sibblings . This is a follow-up to that story. The story in question, more than anything else, reveals that many parents of newborn babies in Nigeria can no longer afford baby food. What it means is that even babies in their numbers are going hungry in the country right now. What a shame! It also implies that breastfeeding mothers are going hungry in their numbers too. It's as a result of the economic crunch, most of which could have been avoided. Again, what a shame! It's really a big shame but cursing the darkness is not what we need now. Instead, we need to light a candle as much and as soon as we can. How can we reduce or eliminate extreme hunger in Nigeria as soon as now? At least, how can we ensure that babies and breastfeeding mothers are taken out of hunger levels at least? This Is What We Are Doing As for us at Awake Digest, we are declaring
