Nigeria is a democracy. In a true democracy, the will of the masses should prevail over the will of their political representatives (including presidents, governors, senators, etc).
The reason is simple: The political representatives in any democracy are only running errands for the masses who are the real leaders (African nominal democracies and their citizens especially need to come to terms with this undeniable fact). Anything less than the scenario painted here is an aberration of democracy.
Now, we are conducting an experiment to determine publicly the extent of support that Obi's call for the release of the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu enjoys among Nigerians on the Web. This call is significant since Obi comes from the same geopolitical zone with Kanu, criticizes the country's leadership as Kanu does BUT shows undiluted support for one Nigeria unlike Kanu.
This video of the Obi call with live public comments on the same already indicates that an overwhelming majority of Nigeria's WWW community support the call...
However, we want to gather more comments from other platforms than YouTube.
So?
DO MOST NIGERIANS SUPPORT OBI'S CALL FOR KANU'S RELEASE? Below Is How We Can Find Out Together And Get An Accurate Result That Complies With Public Transparency Etiquette
- Cast your vote as an INDIVIDUAL stakeholder in the Nigerian Project. How can you cast your vote? Simple: Comment below whether you support the call or not, and WHY.
- To ensure that we get a balanced view from across social media platforms, SHARE this on any social media platform where you hang out. Everyone who visits from any other platform should comment accordingly below so that results can be viewable on a single page.
What Are We Doing With The Eventual Result?
The result of this experience will make it totally clear where the majority of informed Nigerians stand on the issue which is widely deemed to have huge implications for the security of not only the Southeast but also the rest of the country. If the majority of Nigerians support the call, we will use it to push for the government to respect the will of its masters.
In this case, it would be on public record that the people made a statement. If the Government fails to comply, then, it will clearly be indicted if a fellow like Obi ever joins the Biafra struggle.
However, if most Nigerians across other social media spheres prove the YouTube audience wrong on this issue, we will use it to speak to Obi to show his full allegiance to the real masters he aspires to serve as a President by withdrawing the call. Otherwise, it would have been clear where his true allegiance is.
Thanks in advance for participating in this important exercise. You can also comment on the approach we have adopted for this social experiment - for example, is the approach not fair enough? You will need to give an explanation in this regard.
