Ivorian Footballer Who Lost Everything To Former Wife, Marries Again - With Important Lessons To Be Learned

Remember Emmanuel Eboue? He is a former professional footballer from Cote d'Ivoire. He once played for Arsenal for 7 years (2004 - 2011) and for Galatasaray for some 4 or 5 years (2011-2015) among other professional engagements.

Emmanuel's professional career ended in 2016 after a short goalless stint with Sunderland. As widely reported, the abrupt end to his career was due to ill health.

Some time before joining Arsenal, the Ivorian footballer married an older Belgian woman named Aurelie Bertrand with whom he eventually had 3 kids.

Just a year after Emmanuel Eboue's professional career ended, in 2017, the Independent reported an interview in which he admitted being financially destitute, homeless, and contemplating suicide. The report said it was because Emmanuel had lost his investments, home, and kids to his now former wife Aurelie.

We learned that this happened because Emmanuel had registered his assets in Aurelie's name! Imagine that.

We also learned that Arsenal later helped Emmanuel Eboue to regain some financial and social strength. Now, he is happily married again. This time, he is married to his childhood sweetheart Stephanie Boede according to a Quora member named Frank Abah, crediting Kally Hassino.

What Are Your Thoughts About This?

Some people seem to think that Stephanie shouldn't have accepted Emmanuel after he jilted her in his glory days for a Caucasian, even an older woman. Others seem to think that Stephanie may have spiritually engineered Emmanuel's economic and marital misfortunes so that he would come back to her - women could go that far if they've loved a guy from childhood.

Moreover, that reminds us: What do you think was responsible for Emmanuel Eboue registering his assets in Aurelie's name? Was he under some influence when he did so? For instance, could Aurelie have used something on him - like voodoo or bedmatics?

Is it even possible Aurelie was responsible for the ill health that ended Emmanuel's career? And yes, it's possible a gold-digger who is not really in love with a man can do that to end the relationship and take the fortune as soon as possible before it gets late.

So, what are your thoughts on these questions? You can also share any lesson you may have learned from this real-life story. Of course, that's the point of asking these questions.

Meanwhile, we wish the new couple (Stephanie and Emmanuel) a happily-ever-after relationship in their marriage.

#HarassOmokri2Pay: A Campaign Against Misinformation By Influencers

Someone may have burst the bubble of former Presidential aide Reno Omokri.  Image credit: Wikidata Reno is aware that most Nigerians might be averse to a research culture. So, he often freely gives a challenge that says, " fact-check me". My study of a series of Omokri's "fact-check me" tweets reveals that they are used to influence public opinion unfairly. So, recently, he gave such a challenge which appears to cast a past Nigerian Presidential administration in a bad light as a means of making the current administration look better than it deserves. In that tweet, Omokri was selling the Tinubu Administration using its air safety profile. To achieve that, Omokri, inter alia, claimed that Nigeria was averaging 5 Plane crashes per year some time during the Obasanjo days. As usual, Omokri said " fact-check me " and promised the sum of $10,000 to anyone who could fault his stats. I did the fact-check, faulted Omokri, and informed h

Contradictory Statements Indicate That The Police May Have Lied Against Bristol Isaac

News reports of the arrest of Bristol Isaac by the Punch Newspapers has the accused doing two opposite things: A police spokesperson says Bristol " locked himself in the hotel room, smashed his phone, and flushed it down the toilet to destroy evidence. He also refused to surrender his phone's password, claiming he had forgotten it, thereby concealing information ". Our question is, if Bristol Isaac already smashed his phone and flushed it down the toilet to destroy evidence, WHICH PHONE'S PASSWORD DID HE REFUSE TO SURRENDER, CLAIMING HE HAD FORGOTTEN IT? Does a smashed phone flushed down the toilet still have passwords? We expect the police and their supporters to defend this possibly by saying that Bristol had more than one phone. If so, we ask: " What would make a person trying to destroy evidence to destroy one evidence-bearing device and leave another?" For us, this seems indefensible but we are open to any contrary opinion if anyone has a

A member of our team got this flash notification from WhatsApp recently... Clicking on ' Learn more ', this page opened: Apart from listening to the directive given above by the WhatsApp Admin, another way to stay safe is not to let ANYONE ELSE have access to your gadgets because you never can tell who is targeting you. The surest way to prevent unauthorised access to your gadgets is to create a lock🔒 for them and ensure that your passwords are not easy to guess. Also, if anyone you don't know gives you an unsolicited job offer or any offer at all, don't reply or respond to them. For example, don't click on any link they sent you. If you wait for sometime but they still haven't identified themselves clearly, you block and report them.
