BEWARE: BrandReview (Reviewvip.top) Is A Scam That Is Exploiting TrustPilot And Other Big-name Brands To Spread Malware - Please, Read To The End
Trying to find a genuine alternative earning opportunity for Nigerians, we did a review of this website domiciled at Reviewvip.top (also known as BrandReview). Based on its TrustPilot reviews and rating, we recommended that people should try it. It was also an opportunity for us to get information from primary sources we could trust better, namely, the experiences of users that we have directly interacted with.
Unfortunately, we have found good enough reasons to conclude that Reviewvip.top is an ingenious scam exploiting big-name brands to deceive the web public, possibly spreading malware through a network of vulnerable gadgets.
So please, everyone should read this to the end to understand the situation well because the scheme is difficult to escape if you don't get the details here...
Reviewvip.top On TrustPilot
Before signing up with Reviewvip.top to help us study them as insiders, we tried to find out what other people were saying about them on an independent and reliable third-party website. This is our finding:
On TrustPilot, they were rated 4.5 (Excellent) from 6,787 reviews:
4. This is a 5-star rating from South Africa:
5. The following is a 4-star rating from Nigeria. Although it's not 5/5, the reviewer praised the company to high heavens, making us wonder why he removed one star.
6. This is a 5-star rating from Nigeria:
7. This 1-star rating is the only negative review we found for this business.
8. This is a 3-star rating from Nigeria. But, you can see that it's not actually a review.
So, we thought this was some great idea that could help. Unfortunately, we now have reasons to think that the owners of the website are probably buying TrustPilot reviews from unscrupulous people.
See How Reviewvip.top Further Hoodwinks Its Users
The reviews above are the reason why we decided to give this a try. So, we realize it's also how they are getting thousands others to submit to their manipulation.
And, honest but irrational TrustPilot reviewers are not helping matters too. These are people who would give 5-star ratings and still confess that they haven't withdrawn a dime from the company they are reviewing. Here are some of them...
1. This is from South Africa...
Just imagine! Someone complains that 16 payments were approved but were not received but still gives a 5-star rating!
2. This is from Nigeria...
You can see this reviewer again confessing that she has not received a dime from Reviewvip.top and still gave a five-star rating. Please, people who behave this way, are helping criminals to succeed. So, let them stop it.
As you should know, such irrational reviews are helping to inflate Reviewvip.top's TrustPilot rating unfairly.
Now, the question is: How does reviewvip.top succeed in getting these people hoodwinked enough to give them positive ratings even without getting so much as a Kobo from them? They present themselves as a review platform for some of the biggest brands in the world such as Amazon, LinkedIn, Caterpillar, Hennessy, Pepsi. And they use official Wikipedia pages of these brands. So, it makes people feel that they are associated with trusted brands working with Reviewvip.top when they are only being manipulated using those brand names.
When you sign up on Reviewvip.top, they appear to give you a $25 welcome gift. But, they also say you can't withdraw the welcome gift until you get to $200.
As soon as you log into your account, you start seeing reviews. Each review session consists of a Wikipedia entry for each company. Here's a sample...
You are required to read the Wikipedia entry for at least 30 seconds. There's a counter that enables you to know when the 30 seconds have elapsed. You can see the above sample displaying 26 in brackets. It means that the time remains 26 seconds.
When the counter gets to zero like this 👇, you can then scroll up and tap on your review option...
When you have exhausted the available review per time, you will see a notification like this...
But, When Your Earning Gets To $200 And You Want To Withdraw It As Earlier Promised, Reviewvip.top Begins To Play Tricks: See What We Think About This
We have not found anyone Reviewvip.top paid. The only report we've gotten is that when it gets to cash out time, they would begin to give you more conditions to keep you hoping against hope.
This also happens to tally with our own experience with this website. Thus we conclude that it is a scam.
The question then is: How is Reviewvip.top able to get such good rating and reviews on TrustPilot despite not paying their workers as promised? Our conclusion is that Reviewvip.top owners probably pay unscrupulous people to do those reviews to enable them achieve a sinister end.
This brings us to a second question which is: What could be the motivation behind this whole elaborate arrangement by Reviewvip.top owners since they don't ask anyone to pay any money? The only possible motivation is that they are using this as a scheme to spread malware.
And there are indications that this scheme is targeted primarily at the Nigerian web space using a network of hackers spread over many countries. So please, beware and share this. If you have had any experience with Reviewvip.top, please be helpful with that experience by sharing it as a comment below. Thanks.
