Memeslla.com Is A Scam: Here Are The Strong Indications

What Is Memeslla.com?

Memeslla.com is a new website claiming to afford Nigerians the opportunity to earn money online by posting funny photos and videos. While the platform presents a great concept, we have unfortunately found many indications that it is a scam.

One of our mandates as a media platform is to help in protecting the members of the public from a wide range of pitfalls. So, we are here to discuss this issue.

But before we talk about that, let's talk about the promises of Memeslla.com first:

The Promises

Here are the promises of Memeslla.com as presented on its official Telegram account…

Earn...

  • ₦200 for creating a post

  • ₦300 for sharing a post

  • ₦200 per click on your referral link

  • ₦10 per post you like

  • ₦10 per like on your post

  • ₦10 per view on your post

  • ₦1,000 per referral

See How We Found Out That Memeslla.com Is Out To Waste Its Subscribers’ Time

We signed up on the site with the username ‘GunnyFunny’ to experience it first-hand. Here are what we found…

Poor Transparency Culture

There is no FAQ page nor any knowledgebase where to learn the details of how Memeslla.com works. So, the only way we could know how it works was by experience. Now, what was our experience?

They Deny You Your Earning

After earning ₦5,000, we tried to withdraw it as promised only to find out that Memeslla.com has two ways to withdraw:

  • You can withdraw your referral earning once it gets to ₦3,000

  • You can withdraw “activity” earning once it gets to ₦5,000 but only on 19th of the month. Meanwhile, according to our research, they launched on March 20. So, the promise of paying on 19th is a clever way to make you work for a full month before you know the truth. Unfortunately for them, we have seen where they are going. But how?

After several visits to our referral link without any successful sign-up, we suspected something fishy going on. So, we used Whatsapp to track those signing up with our referral link. We confirmed 5 people who signed up with our referral link.

Unfortunately, none of the sign-ups we tracked reflected on our dashboard.

So the earning they claim you can withdraw right away is denied while the one they claim you can withdraw in a month's time is displayed to keep you working hoping that you'll be paid. Meanwhile, their public promise is that you will "earn up to ₦5,000 or more everyday" as you saw above.

But that's not all. Instead, here's another warning⚠️ sign…

There Is No Way Of Communicating With The Memeslla.com Admin

Memeslla has a Telegram group but members are not allowed to post on it. And there is absolutely no other means of contacting the Admin to complain about any issue you are having.

There is no email, no contact form, no WhatsApp contact, no phone number and not physical address‼️⁉️ This is a common characteristic of scam platforms. It shows that they purposely have a lot to hide.

And here's another…

The Memeslla.com Domain Name Is Extremely Young And Registered Only For A Year

According to Whois database, the domain name Memeslla.com was registered on March 2, 2025 for a year only.

No serious company does that. Instead, only a platform that will soon close shops would kick off the same month its domain name was registered and have only one-year domain tenure.

In addition, the owner of the domain name is hidden alongside his/her addresses.

Lastly, Memeslla.com Promises Are Too Good To Be True And Not Sustainable

This was our first suspicion. But, we still chose to confirm it via an experiment🥼🧪 first. Imagine promising to pay you ₦200 per click on your link! And, it's easy for the average user to garner at least 100 link clicks daily which equals ₦20,000 per user per day from link clicks only.

But, assuming it's only 25 link clicks per user per day which amounts to the ₦5,000/day that they are promising, see the debt they accumulated in 24 hours of launch with over 120 members on its Telegram group,

₦5,000 X 120 = ₦600,000

Mind you, this has accrued only within 24 hours of launch. Therefore, in 30 days, we expect them to pay at least ₦600,000 X 30 = ₦18,000,000.

Remember that this has accrued from link clicks only. If you add the other means of earning that they have promised, it could get to ₦100,000,000. And this is a platform that is struggling to a point of being unable to register for a domain name beyond a 1-year tenure. So, where will they get the money to pay on April 19, 2025?

Conclusion

That's our finding👆 We challenge whoever is behind Memeslla.com to prove any of the above points wrong and we will withdraw it with a public apology. Otherwise, they stand.

Please share to prevent the spread of this obvious scam. Thanks.

How To Handle Your Haters: A Lesson From Bill Gates And His Daughter (2)

Bill and Phoebe Gates. Image credit: Business Insider Do you know what? I learned that, growing up, Bill Gates was too small for his age and was often bullied at school and on the streets. As a result, he had very few friends - no more than two per time. As related in the archives , young Bill was a recluse who spent hours cocooned in his room. Once, during such a social withdrawal, his mom asked after him over the intercom, and Bill shouted back, “ I'm thinking… Have you ever tried thinking? ” The fact is: Young Bill Gates didn't have many friends. Unknown to him, many of his peers snubbed him because a rumor spread around town that “ Bill is the weirdest guy that God ever made ”. As acknowledged by Washington Post's Mark Leibovich, the real issue was that the boy Bill Gates III was an infant prodigy. As a result, he just couldn't get along with most of his peers and vice versa. But, it hardly became an issue to him because his attention was essentially somewhere else....

Senators Akpabio and Akpoti. Image credit: The Cable Sexual abuse - of both adults and children - seems to be much in the front burner right now. For me, the most serious of them is the recent report by the United Nations that one-year-olds are among many kids falling victim of rape in war-torn Sudan. Meanwhile, it triggered us to start a campaign to better strengthen justice systems against child sexual abuse as you'll see when you click through . Another current case showing that sexual abuse topics seem to be dominating the news is in another African country: Nigeria. It concerns the Senate President of Nigeria Godswill Akpabio and a female senator named Natasha Akpoti. Here's a little of the story to help you in understanding my point in this article. The Story According to BBC , In an interview with Arise Television on Friday, Senator Uduaghan alleged that Akpabio had made inappropriate advances towards her during a visit to his residence in southern Akwa Ibom...
